Kags Assistant · last updated 9 September 2026

Kags Assistant is a private Telegram bot operated by one individual for their own personal use. It has a single user, its owner. It is not offered to the public, and no other person's data is collected or processed.

What the app accesses

With the owner's authorisation, the app reads calendar events from the owner's own Google Account using the calendar.events.readonly scope. This is read-only: the app cannot create, modify, or delete calendar entries, and it cannot access Gmail, Drive, Contacts, or any other Google service.

Event titles, times, and locations are read so the daily brief can report what is scheduled that day.

What else the app stores

Where data is stored

All data is stored in a local database file on a private home server owned by the operator. Nothing is stored on third-party servers, and there is no hosted service, shared database, or backup to any cloud provider.

Third parties

Message text, syllabus contents, and the daily brief's contents are sent to the Anthropic API to be interpreted and written into readable form. Weather data is fetched from Open-Meteo, which receives only an approximate latitude and longitude and no personal data. Messages are delivered through Telegram.

Data is not sold, rented, or shared with anyone else, and is not used for advertising, analytics, or profiling.

Retention and deletion

Calendar data is read at the moment a brief is generated and is not retained afterwards. Tasks, reminders, and notes stay in the local database until the owner deletes them. The owner can revoke the app's access to their Google Account at any time via Google Account permissions, which immediately and permanently stops all calendar access.
